The other night Jack heard something plop in the living room. I walked in there are saw a huge, fat black bug on the carpet. It was some kind of hard shell beetle. Jack said maybe it fell off the ceiling. Biggest bug I've seen here yet. We photoed it and measured it, almost 2 inches! At least it didn't try to run away. We put it in a little box and taped it shut. I heard it scratching through the night. Who knows...he may make his way to the Baker kids.
Update: Jack put the box outside and the bug got away (he didn't tape up the bottom)
